Edexcel’s BTEC Level 2 First Certificate and Diploma for ICT Practitioners are designed to provide a broad introduction to working in the sector and offer opportunities for accessing further study, such as a BTEC National qualification or an appropriate NVQ.

This course offers 18 units (consisting of 6 core units and 12 optional units) to achieve the full qualification. This is done over a 2-year period.
Learners develop competence in different IT –related subjects and functional skills in Numeracy and Communications, which will enable them to go on to HE courses.

Kingston University (KU) New Technology Institute’s (NTI) foundation degrees in IT for E-Business are designed to take your IT expertise to the next level. The programme is taught at South Thames College and other Colleges in south-west London. It is a 2 years full-time program to obtain the FdSc qualification and a further 1 year top-up at Kingston University to obtain the full KU BSc honours degree.
You will have the opportunity to gain a relevant professional qualification (eg Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate or Oracle Certified Associate) as part of the package of FdSc.
